We have finally made it to the end of the year, and it seems to have come a lot quicker than I thought it would. As I countdown the hours until I have to correct myself for the next month when I write 2015 instead of 2016, I want to take some time to share some things with any and everyone that reads my blog.
First, I want to thank everyone who has read any part of any of my posts. I appreciate you giving your time to read the words. It took me about 6 months between starting my very first post, “I Thought My Son Would Die”, completing it and actually publishing it. I was reluctant to post it, mainly because I am a pretty private person that serves best behind the scenes and it was hard for me to openly display the place that I was in my heart when Jesus came for me then. The responses I received were beautiful, encouraging and reassuring that Jesus’ love was prevalent and clearly visible in the words more so than the “I” of my story. And that was the goal. I am excited for whatever God will do in the new year and I am excited for the opportunity to continue to share with you the things that God has been doing.
Secondly, I ask that you be in prayer for me in this coming year, that I am obedient to God’s leadership and willingly follow His direction. I pray that in your own life (whomever is reading this), that God reaches you in whatever way necessary to draw you closer to Him and shape you to look more like Jesus. I pray that we all have a steadfast faith that empowers us to just say “Yes LORD” and do as God commands in each of our lives. I want you to know that I am thankful for your life, no matter what is going on or where you are, because every breath that you take is an opportunity for God’s glory to be put on display. Be safe in your festivities, may God be with you and Happy New Year!
Grace and peace,
