Had To Let My Baby Go

When I started Confessions Of A Single Mother 2 years ago, I was entering a stage in my life where I had no idea what to expect. Being a first time parent and single parent was an overwhelming idea to wrap my head around. Becoming a single mother led me to seek Christ in a way that I never had before, to look to Him for a sense of security that I had never experienced before, and forced me to let go of things that distracted me from who He is and who I am in Him. The reason I started writing was to share how amazing God is through real life struggles and experiences, and to encourage other single mothers to see that whatever they are going through, it doesn’t have to be the end. Through the Monday posts, I offered encouragement, through the confession posts I offered transparency, and everything else was to show that no matter what, life can go on.

And even though my experience of being a single mother has greatly shaped who I am at this point, it does not fully define me. I have come to see that I am a strong, loving, ambitious woman with a village that surround my child and I; and Lord willing, I won’t be single forever, lol.

And with all the lessons learned over these last 2 years I realize that my writing space needs to reflect who I am entirely, so without further ado, I would like to announce that…

Confessions Of A Single Mother will be no more  and on June 12th, 2017 my new site:  Jay Just Smilez will be live.
