#31DaysOfRealLove – Day 30

I often hear people say they are waiting “until they can get right” before they give their lives to God’s will. The misguided belief (more like cop-out) is that one must be ready to be perfect before they can follow Jesus because they don’t want to be a hypocrite.

The reality of God is He loves you and wants you despite having full knowledge of how grossly imperfect you are. He wants to be the one to make you better, and to be honest, if we could make ourselves better on our own then we would have done it by now. But the only way a creation can be fixed is by the Creator who purposely made it in the first place. God knew how sinful our hearts and minds were then and now, but still gave of Himself because He is the definition of self-sacrificing love. He didn’t care that you are broken when He made a way for you to get back to Him, so let His love bring you back to Him.

Grace and peace

But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8esv
