#31DaysOfRealLove – Day 29

I love my son, more than life itself. It goes without saying that if I have to choose between my child’s life and someone else’s, it’s a no brainer; let alone if it is a choice between my child and someone who outright rejects me daily. So, I can’t imagine the amount of love that God had to have for us, His creation, that He would come up with a plan that included sending His son to a place where He would be hated and ultimately killed by and for people who do not love Him back. He not only orchestrated this plan, but carried it out without reneging.

God pursues despite our rejection, gives regardless of our unworthiness, and LOVES even though we don’t always see it that way. If that is not the definition of REAL LOVE, then I don’t know what is!

Grace and peace

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. – I John 4:9-10esv
